Tourist Guide Luang prabang

Tourist Guide Luang prabang

Luang Prabang can be referred to as one of the cities situated in north-central part of Laos, on Mekong River, at a distance of around 425 Km towards the northern side of Vientiane.

Moreover, it’s capital of ‘Louangphrabang province’. Previously, this city was serving as capital of a ‘kingdom’ having identical name. Till takeover by communists in the year 1975, it had been royal capital as well as seat of Kingdom of Laos’s Government.

Luang Prabang holds the pride of being notable as one among ‘UNESCO World Heritage Sites’. ‘Luang Prabang International Airport’ serves this place.

The climate is greatly influenced by monsoon. Hence, winter would prove to be the best season to visit Luang Prabang.

The population is around 103000.

The most significant transport link is ‘Mekong River’. Those travelling from ‘Chiang Khong’ can go on to hire a ‘barge’ for crossing the river.
